Pharmacy Ownership

In order to own a pharmacy in Tasmania, you must be a registered Pharmacist. You must apply to the Authority for an Eligibility Certificate. This can be issued to an individual or a body corporate (a company with the Director and majority of shareholders who are pharmacists).

Eligibility Certificates require annual renewal. The Authority will issue all Eligibility Certificate holders with an annual renewal each financial year. This requires the completion of an Annual Declaration and the payment of the appropriate fee.
